Oxford, Mississippi
Oxford is a city in, and the county seat of, Lafayette County, Mississippi, United States. Founded in 1837, it was named after the British university city of Oxford in hopes of having the state university located there, which it did successfully attract.
As of the 2010 US Census, the population is 18,916; the Census Bureau estimates the city's 2013 population at 20,865. Oxford is the home of the University of Mississippi, founded in 1848, also commonly known as "Ole Miss".
Oxford has been named by USA Today as one of the top six college towns in the nation. It is included in The Best 100 Small Towns in America. Lafayette County consistently leads the state rankings in the lowest unemployment rate per quarter. Oxford City Schools are ranked as "Star" schools, the highest ranking available, and Lafayette County school systems are consistently ranked as "5-star" systems.
History
Oxford and Lafayette County were formed from lands ceded by the Chickasaw in the treaty of Pontotoc Creek in 1832. The county was organized in 1836, and in 1837 three pioneers—John Martin, John Chisom, and John Craig—purchased land from Hoka, a female Chickasaw landowner, as a site for the town. They named it Oxford, intending to promote it as a center of learning in the Old Southwest. In 1841, the Mississippi legislature selected Oxford as the site of the state university, which opened in 1848.

Oxford is a type of woven dress shirt fabric, employed to make a particular casual-to-formal cloth in Oxford shirts.
Structure
The Oxford weave has a basketweave structure and a lustrous aspect making it a popular fabric for a dress shirt.
Varieties
Varieties in the cloth are the plain Oxford, the Pinpoint Oxford and the more formal Royal Oxford. While these first two are more often paired with casual shirt designs like a button-down collar, the third type is a more versatile weave that can be paired with either business or sporty dress codes.

Oxford, Connecticut
Oxford is a residential town located in western New Haven County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 12,683 at the 2010 Census. Oxford is the 26th wealthiest town in Connecticut by median household income. Distinct settled areas in the town include Oxford Center, Quaker Farms, and Riverside. Oxford belongs to the Naugatuck Valley Economic Development Region and the Central Naugatuck Valley Planning Area, and the Bridgeport–Stamford–Norwalk Metropolitan Statistical Area. Some of Oxford's unofficial nicknames, used often by the town's residents, are: O-Town, Oxhood, and The Miami of the Naugatuck Valley. A little-known fact about Oxford is that international rap superstar Aubrey "Drake" Graham actually hails from the town-- when he references "The Six" in some of his songs, he is actually referring to Oxford. "The Six" refers to the first two digits of the town's ZIP code, 06478.
History
In the 18th century, farmers herded livestock through Oxford from as far away as Litchfield on the way to the port of New Haven. In the 19th century, the town lost population as farmers moved to work in better-paying factories.

Oxford St Giles Fun Fair Vlog 2021 - Bumper Edition! This is Bonkers 😜
WOW where to start, What a fantastic day at Oxford St Giles Funfair 2021, So glad to have it back.. Seeing the street buzzing again with all walks of life, SO many top showmen with rides, games, stalls and kiosks including some of the best rides in the UK including Stanley Reeves Mondial Top scan "Extreme" sitting in the spot Danters AIR normally sits. We had Harry Jones Space ride, Austin Hollands Super Bowl and Dodgems, Bensons "BIG BUZZ" Miami and more! James Danters Maxwell Waltzer probably stole the show for me tho, That or the amazing "TOP STAR" Superstar ride. Record breaking vlog this, I think its the longest I've ever uploaded! Oxford rower says Boat Race crew suffered 'E. coli outbreak' before defeat
A rower on the Oxford team which lost the Boat Race has complained about "poo in the water" and claimed that sickness caused by an outbreak of E. coli played a part in their defeat. There were warnings this week before the Boat Race about pollution levels in the River Thames and the possible risk to competitors. But the historic race went ahead, and both the men's and women's races were won by the University of Cambridge. Footage from our visit to Oxford St Giles Fair One of my favourite fairs of the year being well presented and having such a good atmosphere 💯some brilliant rides and a very well presented fair. It was great to see a lot of enthusiasts around and I enjoyed taking in the atmosphere of this historic street fair.🤩 Some top notch rides at this fair with Danter's Air, Hollands Superbowl, Hebborns Waltzer, Irvin's Ghost Train and A LOT MORE! I enjoyed having a ride on Perrin Mott's Trooper XL which included a backwards cycle and a ride on Hollands Superbowl. WOW where to start, What a fantastic day at Oxford St Giles Funfair 2021, So glad to have it back.. Seeing the street buzzing again with all walks of life, SO many top showmen with rides, games, stalls and kiosks including some of the best rides in the UK including Stanley Reeves Mondial Top scan "Extreme" sitting in the spot Danters AIR normally sits. I don't like going over 45 mins to an hour but i couldn't leave anything out of this, So many different vloggers/Clickers and enthusiasts so its a little bit manic but we love manic here on the channel, TripsWithdaz, Funfair media and Fair Pix Videos all came for the visit and others joined including my friend Luke! We rode what we could before crowd levels got to much and prices went up, I did want some night footage but i was there 7 hours and was extremely tired so jumped on the early train home.
PLEASE Remember the banter in this vlog is meant to be funny and not offensive to other channels, We like a joke here .. Footage from our visit to Oxford St Giles Fair One of my favourite fairs of the year being well presented and having such a good atmosphere 💯some brilliant rides and a very well presented fair. It was great to see a lot of enthusiasts around and I enjoyed taking in the atmosphere of this historic street fair.🤩 Some top notch rides at this fair with Danter's Air, Hollands Superbowl, Hebborns Waltzer, Irvin's Ghost Train and A LOT MORE! I enjoyed having a ride on Perrin Mott's Trooper XL which included a backwards cycle and a ride on Hollands Superbowl. One of the most busiest fairs I been to as well, even in the afternoon the crowds were out and about with the lovely weather for once. ☀️ A great fair to kick off World Funfair Month!

St Giles' Fair is one of the greatest and most prestigious in the country, Home to many attractions and the return of the legendary AIR!
Welcome back to the Vlog, We went to the famous September street Fair located at Oxford, This special is so unique because of its atmosphere, Superb setting, Surrounding buildings and spectacular machines running down the heart of st Giles, The Start to backend season and kicking of World Fun Fair month by Future 4 Fairgrounds is the simply stunning Oxford St Giles Fair.
We made the decision to get down early for the opening ceremony with mayor officially opening the fair and we smashed him up on the opening ride of his years event "Dodgems" Able Danters iconic Star Shape AIR was back after a couple of years with a new look after some time in Germany having some tweaks, Safe to say its riding very well, We also got on Austin Hollands incredible Super Bowl, Harry Jones "Space" and others including the KMG Speed, Ghost Train and Bulls ...
The weather mainly stayed good for us, The Atmosphere was electric and the rides were awesome! Hope you enjoy this bumper edition vlog.
The fair is normally held on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday after St Giles' Day (1 September).
The fair dates back to 1625 when it was a parish festival to celebrate the feast of the patron saint, St Giles. In the 18th century it was a toy fair, then in the early 19th century it was a general children’s fair. The funfair grew during mid and late Victorian times.
This was a time when improved means of transport meant that large numbers of people could be brought into the city to attend the festivities. It was also when the forerunners of today’s rides were first developed following advances in mechanical engineering.

Oxford St Giles 399th Fun Fair takes place on the first Monday and Tuesday of September and is widely known as one of the best street fairs in the UK for atmosphere! Join us for this historic Fair with a tour of all the rides and attractions including On-Ride POV's And loads of offride shots! This is Oxford St Giles opening day 2023
Hello, Yes here we are and please sit back and enjoy the ride, We pretty much let the fair do the talking here as we soak up the atmosphere and kick off World Funfair Month for September, So many good machines attend this fair including the excellent AIR owned by Abie Danter and this is the highlight of the fair, Sat in the middle ground and dominating the skyline is the UK's only travelling Starshape. Such an iconic ride here and with lights, smoke and strobes it really does capture the atmosphere, £9 a ride and a massive line to ride all night ... printing money this beast of a machine.
We got on loads of machines including Wilson's Extreme, Motts Super Trooper, Austin Hollands Super Bowl 2x Ghost Trains, Waltzer and Tagada.

WOW where to start, What a fantastic day at Oxford St Giles Funfair 2021, So glad to have it back.. Seeing the street buzzing again with all walks of life, SO many top showmen with rides, games, stalls and kiosks including some of the best rides in the UK including Stanley Reeves Mondial Top scan "Extreme" sitting in the spot Danters AIR normally sits. We had Harry Jones Space ride, Austin Hollands Super Bowl and Dodgems, Bensons "BIG BUZZ" Miami and more! James Danters Maxwell Waltzer probably stole the show for me tho, That or the amazing "TOP STAR" Superstar ride.
Record breaking vlog this, I think its the longest I've ever uploaded! I don't like going over 45 mins to an hour but i couldn't leave anything out of this, So many different vloggers/Clickers and enthusiasts so its a little bit manic but we love manic here on the channel, TripsWithdaz, Funfair media and Fair Pix Videos all came for the visit and others joined including my friend Luke! We rode what we could before crowd levels got to much and prices went up, I did want some night footage but i was there 7 hours and was extremely tired so jumped on the early train home.
PLEASE Remember the banter in this vlog is meant to be funny and not offensive to other channels, We like a joke here .. This will be my last vlog for a few weeks as this hit my wallet hard! like I said any help is welcome with the PayPal link, Just don't want people keeping on for more vlogs as I'm broke now :)

A rower on the Oxford team which lost the Boat Race has complained about "poo in the water" and claimed that sickness caused by an outbreak of E. coli played a part in their defeat.
There were warnings this week before the Boat Race about pollution levels in the River Thames and the possible risk to competitors.
But the historic race went ahead, and both the men's and women's races were won by the University of Cambridge.

Welcome back to the Vlog, We went to the famous September street Fair located at Oxford, This special is so unique because of its atmosphere, Superb setting, Surrounding buildings and spectacular machines running down the heart of st Giles, The Start to backend season and kicking of World Fun Fair month by Future 4 Fairgrounds is the simply stunning Oxford St Giles Fair.
We made the decision to get down early for the opening ceremony with mayor officially opening the fair and we smashed him up on the opening ride of his years event "Dodgems" Able Danters iconic Star Shape AIR was back after a couple of years with a new look after some time in Germany having some tweaks, Safe to say its riding very well, We also got on Austin Hollands incredible Super Bowl, Harry Jones "Space" and others including the KMG Speed, Ghost Train and Bulls ...
The weather mainly stayed good for us, The Atmosphere was electric and the rides were awesome! Hope you enjoy this bumper edition vlog.
The fair is normally held on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday after St Giles' Day (1 September).
The fair dates back to 1625 when it was a parish festival to celebrate the feast of the patron saint, St Giles. In the 18th century it was a toy fair, then in the early 19th century it was a general children’s fair. The funfair grew during mid and late Victorian times.
This was a time when improved means of transport meant that large numbers of people could be brought into the city to attend the festivities. It was also when the forerunners of today’s rides were first developed following advances in mechanical engineering.

This huge street has been going since 1625 making it one of the oldest fairs in the world, obviously beck then it was a bit different but over the years it has become one of the best and most visited street fairs in England
It was great to meet up with a couple of fans of the channel Rufus and Henry which you will see in the vlog and it was also great to finally get on the incredible Danter’s Air plus all of the other amazing attractions
It is World Funfair Month in September and please that we are supporting @future4fairgrounds on the channel, please go out there and visit your local fairs this month in support of this great charity

Oxford, Mississippi
Oxford is a city in, and the county seat of, Lafayette County, Mississippi, United States. Founded in 1837, it was named after the British university city of Oxford in hopes of having the state university located there, which it did successfully attract.
As of the 2010 US Census, the population is 18,916; the Census Bureau estimates the city's 2013 population at 20,865. Oxford is the home of the University of Mississippi, founded in 1848, also commonly known as "Ole Miss".

History
Oxford and Lafayette County were formed from lands ceded by the Chickasaw in the treaty of Pontotoc Creek in 1832. The county was organized in 1836, and in 1837 three pioneers—John Martin, John Chisom, and John Craig—purchased land from Hoka, a female Chickasaw landowner, as a site for the town. They named it Oxford, intending to promote it as a center of learning in the Old Southwest. In 1841, the Mississippi legislature selected Oxford as the site of the state university, which opened in 1848.
